David Spence

David Spence is a Professor of Law, Politics and Regulation at the University of Texas at Austin. His research relates to the law and politics of energy regulation. He is also the co-author of Energy, Economics and the Environment (Foundation Press), which is the leading energy law casebook, and has published numerous articles focused on energy policy, regulation and the regulatory process. He has a Ph.D in political science from Duke University and a J.D. from the University of North Carolina.
